Our current archive review
Power Savings Daily is reviewing its existing article library. Some older pages were created with overlapping topics, insufficient sourcing, or claims that need better qualification. Those pages may be rewritten, consolidated, redirected, or removed as the review progresses.
This page describes the standards being applied during that rebuild; it is not a claim that every older article has already completed the process.
Editorial standards
Evidence before percentages
Energy savings depend on climate, utility rates, building construction, equipment condition, and behavior. We avoid presenting a percentage from one example as a guaranteed result for every reader.
Sources readers can inspect
When an article is reviewed, we aim to use primary or technically credible sources such as government energy programs, utility documentation, recognized safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and clearly described calculations.
Reviews must describe what was actually reviewed
We distinguish hands-on testing from specification research and third-party evidence. We do not describe a product as personally tested unless records of that test exist.
Safety and professional advice
Electrical, HVAC, and building work can involve fire, shock, refrigerant, structural, or code risks. Our content is general information—not individualized electrical, engineering, legal, or financial advice. Use a qualified professional where appropriate.
